Allergy Shots

Information regarding the administration of allergy shots

1. Allergy shots are given on the following days:

Monday:

7:30AM-12:00 PM

1:00-5:00PM

Tuesday:

7:30AM-12:00 PM

1:00-5:00PM

Friday:

7:30AM-12:00 PM

NO AFTERNOON SHOT HOURS

**PLEASE ARRIVE 30-45 MINUTES PRIOR TO 12:00 NOON AND CLOSING
WHEN YOU COME IN FOR YOUR TEST SHOTS**

*ANY CHANGES IN THIS SCHEDULE WILL BE POSTED IN THE ALLERGY LAB
AND WAITING ROOM*

2. You will be asked to wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes after your shots are given, so we can observe your reactions. If you cannot stay 20 minutes, you must sign a saiver that you will be leaving.

3. If you are ill and/or have a fever, allergy shots cannot be administered.

4. If you observe any reactions (SWELLING, REDNESS, WARMTH AT INJECTION SITE, ITCH), please tell the nurse when you come in for your next shot. Your dose may be reduced or held.

5. If you ever experience any shortness of breath, difficulty breathing or tightness in your chest or throat (signs of anaphylactic shock) after you leave this office, use your Epi-pen as instructed and call 911. This is a rare occurrence, but you need to know what to do in case it happens.

6. If you ever have any questions regarding your allergies and allergy injections, please feel free to call the allergy nurse.

7. Children 15 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a parent or adult in order to receive their allergy shots. Children 16-17 years of age need to have parent consent on file in order to come alone.
