Important Guidelines

Observation Period: You will be asked to wait 20 minutes after your shots to monitor for reactions.

  1. Illness: Shots cannot be administered if you are ill or have a fever.

  2. Reactions at Injection Site: If you notice swelling, redness, warmth, or itch, please inform the nurse at your next visit. Your dose may be adjusted.

  3. Emergency Situations: For shortness of breath, chest or throat tightness (signs of anaphylaxis), use your EpiPen and call 911 immediately. This is rare, but it’s important to know what to do.

  4. Questions: Contact our allergy nurse for any questions about your allergies or injections.

  5. Children & Consent:

    • Children 15 and under must be accompanied by a parent or adult.

    • Children 16–17 may come alone only if parental consent is on file.
